Method

  1. Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds and
    wait for it to crackle.
  2. Add the garlic and chilli paste, chopped
    onions, turmeric powder and red chilli
    powder. Sauté till the onions turn brown.
  3. Add the chopped tomatoes and cook
    till soft.
  4. Add grated tofu and mix well. Cook for 1
    minute and remove from heat.
  5. The bhurji can be eaten with ajwain
    ki puri or can be used as a stuffing for
    grilled sandwiches.

Ingredients:for filling
  • Grated tofu - 1½ cups
  • Tomato – 1, chopped
  • Onion - 1 chopped
  • Garlic and green chilli paste - 1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds - ½ tsp
  • Turmeric powder - ½ tsp
  • Red chilli powder - ½ tsp
  • Rice oil - 1 tbsp
