 Main Course & One Pot Meals - Vegetarian

Tandoori Aloo

Method: Add ghee to the flour. Mix well.
  1. Peel and hollow the potato with the help of a peeler.
  2. Deep fry the potato barrels in the oil, similarly fry the potato scrapings.
  3. Make a mixture of the potato scrapings, raisins, cashewnut, green chilly and coriander.
  4. Season with salt and chaat masala.
  5. Stuff the hollowed potato barrels with the potato mixture.
  6. Put the potatoes in the tandoor allow it to cook for 5 minutes.
  7. Cut it into slices and arrange on a plate.
Serve it accompanied with mint chutney.



  • 600 gms large potatoes
For mixture :
  • 4 tsp. raisins
  • 20 Cashewnut
  • 2 tsp green chilly chopped
  • 2 tsp coriander
  • ½ tsp chaat masala
  • Salt to taste
