  • Frequent urination

  • Blood or pus in urine
  • Cloudy urine

  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Flank or groin pain
  • Chills
  • Fever
  • Weakness


  • Oral or intravenous antibiotics


  • Drinking plenty of water
  • Avoid delaying urination
  • Urinating after sexual intercourse
  • Cleaning from front to back after visiting the toilet
  • Changing sanitary pads often
  • Wearing cotton underwear
  • Promptly change soiled diapers for babies
