Secondary amenorrhea is a condition where menstruation stops for 3 months or more in a female who has been having regular periods, or for 6 months or more in a female who has been having irregular periods.

Symptoms

  • Cessation of menstrual period for more than 3 months

Treatment

Treatment varies according to the cause. Once the health condition leading to amenorrhea is cured, menstruation becomes normal.
