Club Foot

 

A club foot is a congenital condition causing one or both feet to turn inwards and on their side.

Causes
Causes are not known but family history is an important factor.

Symptoms 

  • Foot turning inside and on the side
  • Stiff ankle
  • Calf muscle of the affected leg smaller than the normal

Treatment
Treatment should begin at the earliest for best results. It may include:

  • Stretching and casting
  • Bracing
  • Surgery
